About Smallwoods Lawyers

Smallwoods Lawyers was established in 1976 by Richard Smallwood.

Since it was established, Smallwoods has gained a reputation as a quality medium-size law firm, providing legal services to small to medium-size businesses, families and individuals in a number of areas of legal work including:

• Small business general advice
• Family law
• Commercial & residential conveyancing
• Estate planning
• Wills
• Managing deceased estates
• Environmental and Local Government law.

In early 2009, Smallwoods moved from its premises in Dee Why, where it had been for in excess of 24 years, to new modern premises at 117 Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale providing up-to-date facilities for conferences with clients, holdings seminars and providing better access and parking for clients.

Also in 2009, Smallwoods incorporated as a company as part of its restructuring to provide quality legal assistance to clients. The company now consists of three highly-qualified lawyers who are assisted by highlyqualified legal assistants who have worked in legal offices for many years.

Accordingly Smallwoods is able to ensure that the legal needs of clients can be addressed speedily and effectively throughout the year by its experienced solicitors. Whilst our solicitors concentrate on particular areas of legal work, there is regular communication between all our solicitors to ensure that the needs of our clients are addressed in a cost effective and speedy manner and ensures a continuity of representation in the case of a short term absence of a solicitor.
